In summary - the Amendment will establish a Taxpayer Oversight Board (TOB) as an agency of the City government. The TOB's members will be 300 actual taxpayers who are selected by a non-partisan, statistical process from the set of income and property taxpayers in proportion to their relative contribution to the City budget (as of 2020, it means roughly 70% property tax payers and 30% income tax payers). Those eligible must have paid at least $250 of taxes to the City and be between 18 and 80 years old.

In summary - We ask the President to issue an executive order to be known as Patriot Taxpayer Rights Order (the "Order"). The Order condemns taxation without representation. It limits Federal funding of cities and states that disenfranchise taxpayers - defined as jurisdictions where those who pay 95% of the individual tax burden (measured by income and property tax) have less than 50% of all votes. Such cities or states can remedy this inequity by creating Taxpayer Oversight Board (TOB) that has a veto on any direct or indirect tax increases and on the final budget. The TOB shall remain in place until the conditions that necessitate it are cured.
See petition below.
Target is 100,000 signatures.
Deadline ................. December 31st.
Where to sign...... See locations above.
Who may sign..... Any person residing in, or employed in, NYC
We the residents of New York, call on Mayor DeBlasio to resign and if he will not do so by December 1, we call on Governor Cuomo to replace him.
NYC is in a severe crisis that will require more taxes - directly or indirectly through borrowing. Mayor DeBlasio is not capable of leading the city through this crisis. He has shown profound animus toward taxpayers. He has made clear that his key agenda is to use tax for purposes other than delivering services and related administration - infamously saying "there's enough money - its just in the wrong hands." Taxpayers should decide what hands they want their money to be in. If they want to donate to support various causes - it should be their decision to do so - NOT Mr. DeBalsio's decision. Taxpayers have suffered by his tax and budget actions and his inept management of the City's finances.
See Petition below.
We need 1,000,000 signatures from people in all 50 states to demand a constitutional amendment that creates a Taxpayer Oversight Board (TOB) to protect taxpayer rights. The TOB will have the power to veto legislation that involves spending taxing and spending. It will take a 3/4 majority vote of Congress to overturn a TOB veto.
See Petition Form Below.
